Love shows us new things about ourselves, doesn’t it?

I used to take photos without any thought as to if they were part of a more cohesive story … and then my first love reappeared in my life.
Yes, the one who had first shown me a painting by Manet and really challenged me to look at everything in the artwork: the barmaid, the top-hatted figure in the corner, the woman on the trapeze, etc.
He is passionate about Plato, and plays Scrabble like Aristotle, and he challenged me to find a simplified way to talk about my photography.

I distilled it down to these three things:

First is FORM. Is the shape lovely? Is it as perfect as possible?

Second is FUNCTION. Does it do what it was built to do? Is it as perfect as possible?

Third is FANTASTICAL FITFUL FRENZY. Is it outlandish and sometimes gross? Does it make me laugh? Does it make me cringe?

It is within those categories that I bring you artwork to love.
